It is truly an amazing thing to witness the power of kindred spirits! The ATTACh conference is all about educating parents and professionals on better ways to help children with attachment disorder or who have attachment issues. One of the primary things to help these children and their families is to provide support in the form of hugs. So, I thought how fun! I created a cute little sticker with the crayon heart from this website and on top I put I have a Compassionate Heart! www.AcompassionateHeart.com. The intent was to create awareness for the website but also to get people hugging.

The amazing thing was that in Bessel van der Kolk's keynote address he mentioned that hugging is so important for a child and their family to heal! So, before long people were searching out my table to get their sticker! LOL!

It was great fun!

Off to ATTACh!

Tomorrow I am leaving my family to go to the ATTACh conference. I am so excited! The ATTACh conference is a fact filled, supportive environment of kindred spirits. Four days to spend talking with other parents, experienced attachment therapists and hundreds who "get it". I feel like it's a holiday that I get to spend with family and have fun!
